China’s 100% degradable express bag has been put into use
After the Internet Society of China announced the “Green Plan”, the 100% degradable express bags developed by it have been put into use.
According to the Internet Society, at present, most express bags are made of chemical materials and domestic waste. According to statistics, domestic consumption of plastic bags has exceeded 10 billion in 2020.
In order to solve the above problems, the “Green Motion Program” has created a new type of degradable express bag by analyzing domestic and foreign express packaging materials, inviting environmental protection experts and multiple manufacturers to improve and test its process. It is reported that the main components of the environmentally friendly express bag are PBAT and PLA, which are 100% biodegradable and will be completely decomposed and absorbed by the soil within a few months in the natural environment.
Since 2016, 100% degradable express bags have been tried on Chinese e-commerce platforms. According to data, for the environmental protection development of the express industry, the Internet launched a green plan on June 13, 2016, and it has been tried on packaging materials so far. A number of innovative improvements, including the use of tape-free cartons, recycling and reuse of express boxes, etc.
